Temptation

I'll continue to say it, Aladdin is one of the greatest movies period. What more solid message can a children's movie deliver beyond be yourself, don't lie, resist temptation, and don't backdoor your friends. This painting really touches on resisting temptation. Touch nothing but the lamp. Seems simple until you step inside the cave of wonders and are greated by treasures beyond your wildest dreams but aint none of that really mean anything when you could get your paws on the lamp. Unfortunately Abu couldn't contain himself when he came across the statue of a monkey holding an enormous precious gem. temptation took over and he almost boned him and his boy Al for no reason. Ultimately it all worked out but that moment is really well depicted and pertains to all of us in our day to day life. Whatever temptation comes knocking you gotta stick to the plan and have the presence of mind to forward think about what's really important to you and your own greater good or purpose. This painting is a friendly reminder that its ok to use your eyes but your paws could get you in trouble. Stick to the plan and press on.
